Don't know if any of you are familiar with the history of polish poster art but it's pretty fascinating. It's gone through a lot of style changes over the years (art nouveau, cubism, minimalism, post modern, etc.) but always focusing on the craft by hand.
With that in mind, I decided to do a poster on the 2008 Swedish Vampire Film- "Let the Right One In". Highly recommend it if you haven't seen. It's a shame though, I think the only versions out right now are dubbed (people can't read subtitles I guess)...? Kind of hurts the Film but strong enough to get past all that. The film is based in the 80's and has this awesome muted feel through out it. This is why I went for a focus on minimalism. Much more suggestive that way with out being too explicit like most horror movies... leaves more to the imagination if you know what I mean. The poster is a composite of collage, charcoal, acrylics and stencil.
